Game 1 - Leafs @ Montreal - Video Review - Period 1

This is a feature I'll try and do when I can, it's fairly time-consuming, but fun. I'm going to look at video of all the scoring chances I've tabulated, and append some comments.

Subban's shot after a shoot-in is tipped by Moen, who's in front of Ranger. No defender anywhere around Eller, with both defenders having their man in front and JVR having left Eller after the puck went back to the point. The Dane has a great wraparound chance.

Moen gets a loose puck past Ranger,  to Eller, again with a lot of space behind the net, Fraser is out of position on the side boards, forcing Bozak to go after Parros, leaving Eller unmarked. Bozak does well to get around and prevent Eller from getting a rebound.

The first half of the period was fairly even, probably edging to Toronto on account of the powerplays, but Eller was excellent in the second half, on the ice for six chances past the 10 minute mark.
